Welcome to Portslade Health Centre
At the end of December Dr Fiona Levack will be retiring from the Practice. Dr Levack has been a GP Partner and an integral part of the Practice for many years. She has supported women's health and been a great support for our nursing and wider clinical team. Her kindness, wisdom and dedication will be missed by patients and the whole Practice team. We all wish her well in her retirement. Dr Levack's patients will be distributed between the remaining Doctors. If you have a preferred GP you would like to have as your usual Doctor please let the surgery know.
Also retiring is Dr Anne Miners, another integral person in the Practice. Dr Miners has not only been a dedicated and caring GP but has ensured that the Practice forged ahead and kept on top of the multitude of changes that the Practice has had to ensure over the years. She will be greatly missed by everyone. Dr Miners will still have links with us as she will be doing some locum surgeries for us.
We will also be losing our Practice Nurse Theresa Lawton at the end of November. Theresa is moving to a new Practice to take on an exciting role. We all wish her well for the future.
We are now booking appointments for flu jabs - if you are age 65 and over , or have a chronic disease such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, are pregnant or a carer, please contact Reception.
Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
